Libre Solutions Host Slavery Awareness Conference in Nantwich

Libre Solutions joined forces with the GLAA, South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce and David Marren, Mayor of Nantwich, to deliver an awareness raising event for businesses and the communities of Cheshire.

Guest speakers Shayne Tyler, operations Executive at Manor Fresh Ltd, Paul Elms the Head of Prevent Strategy at Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority and Ben Thomas UK Immigration Enforcement, gave the audience a fantastic insight into slavery and labour exploitation describing real life stories of how it can destroy businesses and their brands.

The attendees were left shell shocked by the accounts of human suffering that the victims of this horrendous crime endure here in the UK;
Helen Tonks (Co-Founder) award winning Hydraulics Online Ltd,
“An eye-opening and quite frankly uncomfortable afternoon hearing facts, figures and stories so close to home”

Jacqui Morris (International Trade Manager), South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce
“What a fantastic event. Delegates from all walks of life and business sector. A very sad cause. More needs to be done and we can do this with the assistance of Libre Solutions”

Sarah Mines, Guinness Housing,
“Owing to the subject matter the event could really be described as enjoyable, however I was really impressed by the passion shown by all those who delivered. It made a huge impact on myself and others who attended”

The quote of the day came from Shayne Tyler,
“It’s not that your business and supply chains are slavery free, you just haven’t found it yet!”
